The Black Sea:

The Black Sea drains into the Mediterranean Sea and then the Atlantic Ocean, via the Aegean Sea and various straits. The Bosphorus Strait connects it to the Sea of Marmara, and the Strait of the Dardanelles connects that sea to the Aegean Sea region of the Mediterranean. The Black Sea is also connected to the Sea of Azov by the Strait of Kerch.

Costinesti:

It is situated in Romania, Dobrudzsa part, in Constanta county. It is in the south part of it, on the beach of the Black Sea.

Inside of the town there is a lake, which is called by the town, and it is separated by a tongue from the sea. The town is 30 km away from the county town on the South from the county town, Constanta. The closest town is Eforie, 14 km on the North.

The village is situated on the place of an ancient town called Perthenopolis. During the middle ages the town was called Libaertatea on the maps. Till 1960 there was a little fishing village, at that time people started to build up the holiday industry. Close to the seashore there is a Greek shipwreck called Evangelia, which got caught there in 1968. Since than it is a famous sight of the town.

Costinesti is famous for its fun, happiness and all the youth all over the place. There is a good opportunity for entertain in the Summer Theatre, where people can enjoy movies, there are performances and festivals as well. On the coast there are also several fun activities such as competitions or concerts. Every summer the televisions build up open air studios from where they provide their programs. In the town and on the coast there are several sport courts and there are facilities for hiring water sport equipment as well. For those who are in love with water sport, there is the 7 hectar big Lake Costinesti. There are facilities for hiring boats or pedal boats as well.
